Career Overview
A creative, award-winning professional illustrator with a lifelong love of art and illustration.
Built a career understanding the needs of diverse clients, and producing fresh, powerful illustrations to educate, illuminate, entertain, promote and inspire.
Experience includes work as a freelance mural artist, lettering trucks and ambulances, illustrating comic books and posters, drafting architecture, logo design and silk screen, and as a bridal in costume seamstress.
Over course of career, worked with major book publishers, magazines and commercial clients, including a Tribal Nation which has world class resort and casino and major entertainment corporation.
Highlights of Illustration Experience
Comic Book Illustrator
Freelance illustrator for a comic strip titled "Mirror Image" for a local writer, Steve Simonson.
Poster Art & Caricature
Produced a series of posters as an employee of Prentice Hall (the world's leading educational publisher) in Waterford, CT that addressed customer service themes through comical interpretations of literary and historical characters. These posters are currently housed in the archives of Bureau for Better Business Practice publications. Similarly, I produced a series of celebrity caricatures for "In the Know" and "Photo Screen" magazines, published out of New York City, New York.
Silk Screening
Built and managed a business -Screenz - as a Graphic Designer and Silkscreen Artist. Produced logos and merchandise designs for local businesses, events, and sports teams, and then silkscreening them onto T-shirts, banners, and other apparel.
Mural & Sign Painting
Designed and hand painted numerous signs, murals, and logos on ambulances, trucks, and for historical sites including the Geer One-Room school house, the Mashantucket Pequot ambulances, as well as an installation of storybook characters for the Otis Library of Norwich, CT. Rendered drawings for MGM.
Architectural Renderings, Drafting, and Technical Drawing
Contracted by countless builders, carpenters, developers and real estate companies for architectural renderings as part of speculative building projects and development projections.

Won Best T-shirt Design for New London, CT Sail Fest
